Wow! must say i wasn’t expecting this, but this show got me quite excited! First Stalker with it’s immersion… veeery nice! I just hope
a) that they’re going to make it for consoles too so i can enjoy it, or if they’re going to make it pc only that they support gamepad play, but not only would that mean that i’d going to have to wait 4 or whatever years till i’ll get a computer for it but also i find that hardly possible with that inventory system: i quite hate it: seen it in Gothic 3 two: a full 3d world, but then sprite/2d images for inventory, not only does that take me out but also you can’t really see things that small well from sitting in bed/at a distance
b) the reason i stopped playing STALKER was because of not just lack of content but worst because of enemy respawning: for a game that made it so hard to survive (and i love that in the sense of immersion) having infinitely respawning generic soldiers … sucks… and I’m afraid the new one will be the same because they say it’s still with maps… and not having a one piece big world kinda invites that…

And then there was Killzone 2: i must say i’m not THAT much of a fan of the first (as opposed to say Time Splitters 3 or Black)… but in all the new gameplay i saw I was impressed with the coherence of the architecture… and indeed the fantabulous segment on art design explains it: great iteration, inspiration from reality to avoid lack of new ideas… the cinematics promise to be sweeeeet… and the general attention to detail and art/believability seems sweeeeeeeeettt

I too am very curious as to what will happen to the industry this year. My intuition about this year is more on the likes on Sony pulling some amazing stunt by capturing the masses with some casual stuff and that in turn securing territory for the hardcore audience… but that does seem quite impossible given their price. Still i do think they’ll make some buzz. As for everybody talking about "hardcore" Wii games… well, that to me seems soooo … strange? I mean it’s hard to even Consider Zelda a "hardcore" game… probably because my idea of that is some kind of mature theme/audience…
