+, +, + amazing environments, superb lighting and just amazing level of detail

-, – quite weird technology, not just very demanding but felt weird and unresponsive even on a super powerful machine I later got. Yet still often headache causing

– very linear story

+ often looks quite beautiful, especially the outdoor scenes

– forced car sections. Here I was wanting to play an immersive first person experience and I am forced into frequent sections of driving toy cars

+ sometimes quite interesting original level designs where it embraced it’s linearity and just took you on a tunnel of beauty

– very linear

+ decently interesting story with a nice tension between the underground and the government

– fake open world. I mean theoretically you can go from place to place, but no real reasons to do so because everything is so linear, the story, no choices to speak of, and areas being locked based on story progression. This leads to

– more than one time I gave up playing the game for months as I got stuck, and thanks to the pseudo-open world (with invisible walls) I wondered a lot aimlessly until I closed the game

+ but man was it beautiful at times!

Conclusions: 2 (on a -5 to 5 scale). Despite the frustrating elements the environment design and visuals are at times so beautiful it’s overwhelming. Just beautiful.
