+ superb outdoor lighting

+, + often impressive visuals, not just technically but art direction, mixing modern cities with vegetation

+, + can also be played stealthily reducing a bit on the shooting

– it got a bit repetitive after a while and I stopped playing it

+ but then when i picked it up months later it was still interesting and worth finishing

+, + the urban destruction elements were quite impressive. Occasionally the mixture of modern architecture in ruins mixed with lush vegetation makes for some amazing scenes!

Overall: 2 (on a -5 to 5 scale) very impressive visually and well done mechanics, combined with good visual art direction made it worth playing for me despite the “go, go soldier” element.

+, +, + occasionally amazing visuals, many urban vegetation scenes are quite amazing. Impressive not just in terms of technology but more importantly artwork, compositions and attention to detail

+ quite nice orchestral music

– in the later half of the game way too many aliens and shooting, not grounded enough in either a realistic feeling or complete newness felt monotonous

– they had to throw in vehicle sections which I found quite unenjoyable

+ sometimes a feeling of choice of execution, path or method, though no branching or anything like that

-, – of the “move your ass soldier!!” barking orders military variety of narative

– the overarching story feels rather flimsy and not very well thought through with the energy sources and the evil corporation and such

Conclusions: +2.5 [on a -5 to 5 scale]: worth playing for the memorable visuals and original locations though you have to push through portions with annoyingly many enemies and more monotonous artwork.

Interesting to see another musician into games. She makes a number of songs dedicated to different games. From what I see so far she also has tribute songs for:

Bioshock Infinite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qux09vOn1vY

Dishonored: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSsFeqjVVi0

Battlefield 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ6-XZMLtiw

Alan Wake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9c1GMTw9PQ
