After reading through DigitalFoundry's articles and reveals about Microsoft's upcoming "it's not really an XBox One anymore, but still kinda is" console, the technology and prospect of the console got me excited. I am even thinking about writing an article about Scorpio and what is know about it for artsygamer.

This is the DigitalFoundry coverage so far:

I thought with the release of PS4 and XO the days of hugely customized console hardware would be over, but Scorpio looks really promising :)

great links and i totally share the excitement. I've also been following it with interest. Really good stuff. I wonder if there will come a point where they'll give the go-ahead to make some custom stuff for all that extra power or if they'll manage to stick to the commitment of full and forced backward compatibility with the x1. I find most interesting the extra memory which could potentially make a serious difference... but here again i wonder how much can it be used given that it has to stay fully backward compatible. And if all the extra power is just used for higher res+higher framerate I wonder if consumers will feel the difference, especially if as i'm worried they're going to go for a higher premium pricing.

You should totally write that article!!! I'd love to read it!
