Tales of Monkey Island
0OMG!!! COULD IT BE TRUE??? This is not that remake with better graphics is it? Could it be that finally, after all these ages, finally a new monkey island game? And apparently also a relatively good one? Do I mind if it’s episodic? Nope. Worst case scenario you abstain for a while and then gulp a few episodes at once.
Silent hill: Shattered Memories
0Frightening… moving… yep… it looks like this may be a true silent hill game. Lookign forward to it. I felt bad about never playing SH1 (2,3,4 so far, with 0 ongoing), so i’m happy for the oportunity, even happier that it looks like it may be a polished production!

Drakan: The Ancients’ Gates

I think this one’s a hidden gem… just like the original game passed under the radars. Actually i never knew there was a sequel until i think last year (i had played the original on the PC in times when i had not yet experienced the love of consoles), when i played it with surprising excitement despite my general dissapointment in games. Though the story is liniar it felt quite free in unexplainable ways, possibly due to the somewhat open world. Either way, i finished it, which to me says a lot, and it gave me a quite pleasant exploratory experience.

Prototype NY Comic-Con 09 walkthrough
0Dunno what to say: a lot of fighting focus, that’s a minus, but lots of population tells me there’s less censorship (remember Carmagedon before the population became socially acceptable zombies?) … with large scale this could be pretty interesting… at least for us. I’m afraid in terms of sales it may be too moraly ambiguous for super wide reception… so, again, here’s to hoping it will have a deep story & choices… i know, small chances, but still…

Violence for the sake of violence?
0I feel so very strange saying this, for one because this is the same me that quite enjoys the violence levels in games BUT hearing these guys talk… well… it scares me. I like the maturity of games when they express actions and consequences, reasons… but what they talk about seems to not really have any kind of justification. I don’t hear in the echoes of their words any greater reasons, ideals… and I guess that scares me in a way similar to those parents hearing about violent games. Still, i guess it’s a logical result of a demand for this and I’m quite happy it’s out there, I just hope there’s also enough counter balance in the world to stop those who might be foolish enough to translate these concepts into a real world. I’m not a problem because I pretty much live in imaginary words and reality is a poor shadow of those things most of the time… but…

I’m quite excited about it because I see very few adult games… even though as far as I’ve seen it’s only the violence that makes it that so far, but hopefully the story will be too, but I must say I’m not at all impressed by the visuals, and by that, of course, I don’t mean in terms of technology, but in the sense that I don’t see any inspiring artwork, it all just seems like "big metal room" to me. I wonder even to what extent you’ll feel lost/the same place, and i mean that in a bad way. But like I was saying: seeing how there’s soo many "all ages" games I’m still quite excited about one that sets itself up for an M rating.

Risen – the return of Piranha Bytes
0I am not very impressed by the trailer… but I am impressed by the fact that Piranha Bytes will be behind it. From the people behind Gothic I expect quite great things and depth… I hope. Now if only they’d also do a console release…
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
0I soooo was expecting to get the "oh, yet another MK" boring feel… and yet i was impressed enough to feel the need to post this… i don’t know if it was the character back stories, the curiosity of how they’re going to appease both camps… i actually got excited watching this. Yeayy for them!!! Unfortunatelly i watched it on Gamersyde where they had it in direct quality but I couldn’t find any good embedable version so if you wanna see it more clearly it’s here.
